It’s an inner devotion Climbing over the hard rock hearing words we’ve never heard The wind wakes up the lakes begin to fill The branches sparkle the flowers freeze and it’s inner devotion Hiking below the mega-flora shaking the palm trees unlocking the doors The emptiness of caves the mystery of volcanoes Hear the birds sing see the things they bring it’s an inner devotion Once again and many times before you’re the psychic in the suburbs you’re the Kathy on the moore We are on fire as hot as the rose Trumpets, bells, violins it’s an inner devotion

Crush ’til it hurts Over hills past mansions on the bus Beside pine trees through the suburbs into dust While the rivers ride as the traffic flows on and on we run and so I go With my crush till it hurts At the wedding in the vineyard under the sun In hot suits cold champagne top buttons undone While the music plays as the movie shows we dance, we sway and everybody knows… About my crush ’till it hurts

Dreaming of the Dead Wake up early in the paddocks below hear a voice the voice of the one you know catch a figure in the bright-white light see the reflection of the one that’s died I will never fall in I will never forget I can never let it go I will always have it I can never lose it it’s always part of me cause I’m still Dreaming of the dead See a friend at a party at night at a party of friends who know have died take them by the hands tell them your memories tell them your plans I will never fall in I will never forget I can never let it go I will always have it I can never lose it it’s always part of me cause I’m still Dreaming of the dead (somewhere in my subconscious) Watch the clouds hit the valley below let the rain water run over your toes enter the house later on that night hear the voice of the one that’s died say I will never fall in I will never forget I can never let it go I will always have it I can never lose it it’s always part of me cause I’m still Dreaming of the dead

One thousand years wait by the bridge for one thousand years Another life time spent waiting for you another dream world dreams can come true You’re in my skin you’re in my blood what am I gonna do what am I gonna do for One thousand years So now I arrive in this life time a body and a brain and if that was the right time well there it goes again Many life times spent waiting for you at the end of the train line by the edge of the swimming pool Out in the fields I’m in the mud said we’d meet at the bridge said I’d wait for you for One thousand years

Through the winter and the summer I’ve dreamed on the creek I’ve slept on the bank We’ll take a raft paddle away beside the mud into the dark Fields are there for us and they sparkle harsh it’s cold in the night but in the day... Below a tall tree far from the ocean the acorns at our feet We breathe soft we breathe slowly Over on the mountains and through the hills over small bridges thirty degrees Then across the creek then at the snow and the tall grass that itches our knees It sways with the wind the wind brings relevance to the trees let the summers glow let rivers burn And on the outskirts with the wind beside the billabong below the stars Sounds of the swamp over dead leaves the mosquito net and the palm trees We breathe soft we breath slowly And the ghost of blue sky yellow sun And the temple for the brave at the foot of the hill shoes at door hands on the floor Little lights glow birds call out soft the valley turns cold light clouds on top Then things turn blue then turn black we turn away we run on Always wanna go never wanna stay

Grey Skies 04:41
Grey skies You can hide by the misty highway you can hide in the plains you can hide by the caravan back door I’ll wait in the lane We can make it to the edge of the outskirts we can make it to the plains we can sit by the caravan back door watch the rain fall from the Grey skies Where is the place where the wildlife lays down where is the place where there’s gold in the creek where is the place where the birds sing out from the tops of the trees Something happens when the sun hits the rooftops something happens when it hits the sea something happens when the radio’s blaring below the roof and the rolling Grey skies No-one knows what lies in those sleepy eyes they watch the hills and the skies running over the fields and the fences through the streetlights and the powerlines I grew up in the suburbs house number 23 tyre-swing in the backyard rose bushes and a lemon tree I can make it to the edge of the outskirts I can make it to the sea I can walk through the streets of the suburbs hit the road then it’s me and my Grey skies Sleepy eyes, sleepy eyes

Another Life 04:47
In another life somewhere far behind all my memories her and I lived together with the animals and the sunshine side by side day after day told each other that we would wait one thousand years two thousand year, three thousand Time into time on a Sunday at the back of the house there was a rainbow she stood at the end of the rainbow calling out her hands raised to the sky her and I another Sunday Then one night there was a party on the roof and she was standing on the roof she was a memory then out on the beach we waited for the ships on the rocks we waited in the dark some nights when she was asleep I’d listen to her breathe she’d talk about a steam train Then when it was summer I met her by the lake said I’d be running late she said she would Jupiter, Venus, Mars, she was my star and all the things that spring can bring would make her happy then to the mountains to the park we’d whisper in the dark holiday, hollow-day it was a moon day Another life hear her calling

about

Throughout nine incantatory songs, 'Transporter' imbues everyday gestures with ritualistic significance. The mundane becomes miraculous. Eyes glance across the universe. Other lives are glimpsed from bridges & fields, revealing another world in this one.
